5th Ward Councilman Michael Yakubov
Dear Neighbor,

I have designed this site to better provide local community information to my constituents and to continue my efforts of open government with residents of Roselle Park.  It is my goal to make sure that every resident has access to their elected official and has the assurance that their voices are represented on council.  As Fifth Ward Councilman, I am dedicated to quality service and transparency in local goverment.  Serving as your unified voice on council I am strongly focused upon all of your issues, concerns, and suggestions.  Together, I believe we can make our community a better place to live, raise a family and compete for the future of our Roselle Park.  Over the past year we have been instrumental in creating and improving the services provided to residents of our community.  The orchestration and management of the new TV34 program for your viewing pleasure has been a technological renaissance to the way community access television operates.  Additionally,  I have partnered up with other members of council to provide other services such as the Neighborhood Watch Program, The Roselle Park Goes Green Initiative, and the mentoring of our youth in the community.  Other services that have increased the quality of life have been the stringent efforts of our code enforcement department, the tree trimming service provided, and the non stop efforts of our Department of Public Works to repair, and keep our community clean.  The Fifth Ward has experiences a major overhaul as efforts to clean up along railroad lines have increased, and continuous efforts to keeping our apartment complexes up to code and maintained have been made.  Services such as the clean communities program have also helped keep our ward presentable and welcoming.  I have also been working with other members of council to create programs to keep our children and seniors safer.  Traffic issues are being addressed daily and we are on the verge of reshaping the future of our community as numerous projects are on the way.  Those streets in major need of repair will soon be paved and reconstructed and sewer lines will be cleaned out.  I fully understand that we have just begun to reshape the quality of the 5th Ward.  But, I intend to continue to work diligently and professionally to fulfill a vision of aesthetic quality and overall community togetherness to benefit you.  Please never hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.  I am never too busy to answer questions, and to work with you to resolve issues within our community.

Sincerely,

Michael Yakubov
5th Ward Councilman
